Hey guys! I am doing a little research on the influence of the cryptocurrency in the online casinos. I am interested to gather the most information I could on how it could change the players' experience. So far, I have a short list of pros and cons.
Pros:
- Faster withdraws. Usually a withdraw in online casino would take up to 3 days.
- Anonymity. There is a new type of casinos, that named themselves crypto casinos. These do not require players to send their personal information. This is meant to benefit them in at least two ways: players are able to play from each part of the world (which is usually impossible because of local laws and regulations) and players are more wiling to play there, because they are not to be afraid of stealing their identity.
Cons:
- The other side of the anonymity. Crypto casinos are more likely to be scam. Since they do not have to comply with regulations, they are not as thoroughly checked as the other casinos.
- Volatility. Crypto in your wallet may lose its value if you do not exchange it to fiat currency.
I am looking to anything I could add to this list. I am also interested of what are the workarounds, if there are any, to the cons you could think of.
For my research, I am williing to quote any reliable resource, supported with statistics and facts, and first-hand experiences. Also, if anything is disturbed to be quoted, but has something to say, this should not be a problem - I would further research on my own. I am mostly interested of Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin, since these are the predominantly used in online casinos, but if you could share opinion or resources for other currencies as well, this would be even better.
