To set the stage....I've had a streak of bad luck and bad beats....I'm down to the last $100 in my poker bankroll... In a cash game... I'm holding Q♢ 10♢...... the board is showing J♢, K♢, J♠. K♠....two players ALL-IN ahead of me ....I'm pot committed but calling puts me ALL-IN.....I know making my straight or flush won't win the hand....one of them has a king , one has a jack or their both holding king, jack and I only have two outs. So I FOLD! And of course the river is....You guessed it.. 9♢ ..... I would have made the straight flush and tripled up! But Noooo, now I'm crippled, pissed off and never want to play this { #@%&! ing} game again! What would you have done ?

If I were playing on Pokerstars, like I always do, I would have called because this is exactly what happens on PS, the worst hand ever wins. Once I had the most incredible hand in OmahaHL without low and 4 players had a street, 3 of them the same street and lucky me the lower one but we were all pushed AI from the 5th player in the hand and all he had was 2 pair, KJ but he pushed and pushed and all of us called with a bad feeling because of full house or flush or something like that but the river was one of the last J and we lost, all of us:-) Yes, this is PS. On other pokerrooms like FT or the rest I would have fold of course.
And btw, I was pushed AI from people waiting for the straight flush 4 times in my career on PS and every time the straight flush come. Well, I see a straight flush once in a week on PS, not that seldom. Nothing special, I would say, even if it is too hard. I have seen to many 1 outer on PS.
Als ik op Pokerstars had gespeeld, zoals ik altijd doe, zou ik hebben gecalld, want dit is precies wat er op PS gebeurt: de slechtste hand ooit wint. Ooit had ik de meest ongelooflijke hand in OmahaHL zonder low en 4 spelers hadden een straat, 3 van hen dezelfde straat en gelukkig had ik de onderste, maar we werden allemaal AI gepusht van de 5e speler in de hand en alles wat hij had was 2 paar , KJ maar hij pushte en pushte en we callden allemaal met een slecht gevoel vanwege full house of flush of iets dergelijks, maar de river was een van de laatste J en we verloren, allemaal:-) Ja, dit is PS . Op andere pokerrooms zoals FT of de rest zou ik natuurlijk hebben gefold.
En trouwens, ik werd vier keer in mijn carrière op PS gepusht door mensen die op de straight flush wachtten en elke keer kwam de straight flush. Nou, ik zie eens in de week een straight flush op PS, niet zo zelden. Niets bijzonders, zou ik zeggen, ook al is het te zwaar. Ik heb er veel 1 gezien op PS.

If I was pot committed as you say you were, I would have called, although it's a very long shot with only two outs.
Making a decision with hindsight is an easy thing to do but when you're there in that moment, you have around 20 seconds to make a decision so it's very difficult to say what one would have done without knowing what that river was.
Als ik pot-commited was, zoals je zegt, zou ik gecalld hebben, ook al is het een hele gok met slechts twee uit.
Achteraf een beslissing nemen is gemakkelijk, maar als je daar op dat moment bent, heb je ongeveer 20 seconden om een beslissing te nemen, dus het is erg moeilijk om te zeggen wat je zou hebben gedaan zonder te weten wat die rivier was.

I have stayed with 2 pair against streets and FH myself and a lot of times it has paid out which is very, very crazy but this is Pokerstars. Sorry, there I have made the most crazy experiences and this is not good for my development as pokerplayer. I learnt to be crazy and to made stupid decision at big potts. The higher the pott, the most stupid the decision because it could be you. This is the problem there (at PS). The cards are not that imporant, for me the pott is important. You don't get that higher potts so often and so you have to stay in the higher potts. That is just what I have learnt. Again, not a good development for me.
Ik ben zelf bij 2 pair tegen streets en FH gebleven en het heeft vaak uitbetaald, wat heel erg gek is, maar dit is Pokerstars. Sorry, daar heb ik de meest gekke ervaringen mee gemaakt en dit is niet goed voor mijn ontwikkeling als pokerspeler. Ik heb geleerd gek te zijn en domme beslissingen te nemen bij Big Potts. Hoe hoger de pot, hoe stommer de beslissing, want jij zou het kunnen zijn. Dit is het probleem daar (bij PS). De kaarten zijn niet zo belangrijk, voor mij is de pot belangrijk. Die hogere potts krijg je niet zo vaak en dus moet je in de hogere potts blijven. Dat is precies wat ik heb geleerd. Nogmaals, geen goede ontwikkeling voor mij.
